Memerator agrees to furnish services to its members, subject to the following (“Terms of Service”).
Memerator, the company hereafter referred to as, (“Memerator”), and any of its subsidiaries, ("Us"), ("We") and The Client, ("Member"), ("Client") and ("You").
Use of Memerator constitutes acceptance and agreement to the AUP (“Acceptable Use Policy”) and ToS (“Terms of Service”).
All provisions of this contract are subject to change from time to time at the discretion of Memerator. Modifications may or may not be disclosed. You agree to any changes that are done.
By uploading content to Memerator, you agree that you are the owner and creator of the content and reserve all responsibility. Memerator is not responsible for any content uploaded to the site.
All of your data can be exported by contacting us at https://memerator.me/support.
Suggestions filed to Memerator, if implemented, will include a credit on the Updates page once it is released publicly if requested.
Content posted to or removed from Memerator does not imply support or condoning of the behavior, ideas, or beliefs or lack thereof.
Memerator allows web scraping in small amounts but prefers you use the API instead.
Memerator is not responsible for the actions of third parties.
Memerator will attempt to notify users of maintenance as early as possible. Users will be notified on official support channels (hereafter known as “Discord,” “Twitter,” and other services).
Memerator intends to have availability and accessibility as much as possible. Any changes to availability will be notified on official support channels.
Memerator will attempt to satisfy all users’ expectations or requirements and happily accept suggestions through official support channels or on (“GitHub”).
Memerator has the right to change these terms for any reason at any time.
Any feedback is welcome regarding changes through official support channels.
Memerator will include a “last updated” date on any official support documents where possible.
Memerator will attempt to notify all users of changes to these terms where possible through official support channels at least one week in advance, but this is not guaranteed.
All changes to the Terms, regardless of prior notice, will be documented on the Updates page.
Memerator regularly checks the privacy policy and reviews it to ensure it is maintaining the user’s privacy.
Any content (hereafter known as “memes,” “comments,” “reports,” “usernames,” or otherwise any place a user may express themselves freely) is subject to the Content Guidelines. Repeated violations to these guidelines will result in account suspension or termination.
If any content is removed for any reason, you will be notified via the Notification system.
If a meme has been reported due to a copyright claim, it will be temporarily suspended or removed, and you will be notified about the decision.
Upon the situation Memerator ever files for bankruptcy, all users can decide to request their data before it is deleted permanently. Both of these notices will be displayed publicly.
In the acquisition or merger case, these terms are still valid for, at minimum, (90) ninety (24) hour days. Any changes will be notified at least (30) thirty (24) hour days prior.
No logs are stored by default. All Log options must be manually enabled in your Logging settings. Any logs older than 7 days can be removed from your Log options. Once deleted, they are gone permanently and may not be recovered.
Memerator encrypts any personal data and employs as many security practices as possible.
If you were involved in a known data breach in the case of a breach, all affected users would be notified.
Any Pro credit that was purchased and is unused and unredeemed is eligible for a refund for up to (30) thirty (24) hour days after purchase.
Any credits purchased and redeemed by the same user are eligible for a refund for up to (7) seven (24) hour days after purchase. Redeemed credit refunds are prorated.
Any credit purchased and redeemed by another user (i.e., gifted and redeemed) is not eligible for a refund.
Any credit(s) purchased during a promotion or for any discount are not eligible for a refund.
Refunds cannot be requested without probable cause.
Only three credits may be refunded within (30) thirty (24) hour days.
We may require additional information to process any refunds. After receiving a refund request, we will reach out via email to confirm. If a confirmation is not received, we will not be responsible for any subsequent charges or late issuance of the refund.
All content must agree to the Content Guidelines.
Users agree not to submit illegal content and must follow Memerator’s AUP listed below.
Posting of any private content with any sort of personally identifiable information (“PII”) from any platform is strictly prohibited.
Memerator requires first-party “session” cookies to store login details.
Memerator does not intend to track any users. Any trackers not mentioned above, Memerator is not responsible for.
Memerator does not attempt to store any more personal data than required to use the service.
Memerator does not sell or give your personal data to any third party service.
Memerator does not use, store, or access the following information: Location, Camera, Microphone, Motion Sensors, Sound, Automatic Downloads, MIDI devices, USB devices, Serial Port, File editing, HID devices, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, or Your Presence.

All of your personal data can be deleted from settings or request an account deletion.
Memerator does not require names or addresses to use the service. Usernames may be whatever they want, so long as they don’t violate the content guidelines.
Purchasing Pro requires a legal name and a billing address for lawful purposes. This data is stored and handled by Stripe and is not used outside of Stripe.
Upon deleting your account, you are given the choice of anonymizing meme ownership and comments. Ratings, Notifications, Reports, and all other details must be permanently removed.
By default, Memerator does not track the IP addresses of visitors. If you are a registered user, you may opt-in to logging your IP address to maintain your security in your Logging settings.
Memerator does not track GPS location, does not track your browsing history, and your biometric data is not collected.
Suppose a failed or successful login attempt occurs, and the attempted user has email notifications enabled for logins. In that case, your approximate location is used and is included in the email the user receives. Your exact IP address is never shared.
Any personal details Memerator tracks is opt-in only.
Memerator attempts to manage everything in-house. However, 3rd party services are used in some cases.
Memerator is hosted on Heroku. Please consult their Terms of Service for further issues. No data is shared with Heroku.
Memerator uses Ads hosted by Google Ads. Ads are disabled for users with Pro and can be blocked via an Ad Blocker. Memerator does not limit usage based on Ad Blocker status.
Memerator does not gather any PII or any data on other websites.
Memerator can be publicly accessible without an account. All memes rated “Family Friendly” are publicly displayed on the “Recent Memes” tab and can be viewed without an account. To interact (“rate,” “comment,” “report,” or any other actions) with a meme or with a user (by “following”, or other actions), an account is required.
Account owners have the right to disable their accounts. A disabled account may not be signed into until Memerator is contacted and lifts the disabled status.
Memes, Ratings, and Reports may not be removed permanently without first contacting Memerator. However, they can be removed from public view. Other content, such as Notifications, Comments, and Logs, can be deleted permanently.
All content can be removed from Memerator by contacting support. A deleted account will have no association with its prior owner.

Memerator will not force any user into binding arbitration.
Memerator does not use personal data to employ targeted ads.
Memerator does not use personal data for marketing purposes.
Memerator may not be used for illegal purposes or in support of illegal activities.
Memerator reserves the right to cooperate with legal authorities and injured third parties to investigate any suspected crime or civil wrongdoing.
Use of Memerator to transmit any material (by memes, comments, or otherwise sharing) that threatens or encourages bodily harm or property destruction.
Use of Memerator to transmit any material (by memes, comments, or otherwise) that harasses another.
Use of Memerator to make fraudulent offers to buy or sell products, items, or services, or to advance any type of financial scam.
Use of Memerator to access, or attempt to access, the accounts of others, or to penetrate, or to attempt to penetrate, security measures of Memerator or another entity’s computer software or hardware, electronic communication system, or telecommunications system, whether or not the intrusion results in the corruption or loss of data, is expressly prohibited and the offending Memerator account is subject to instant termination and further investigation.
